Title: Sturggles, Frustrations, and A Glimmer of Hope from Beech Leaf Disease Management Trials
Cost: $10 (donation to the Ohio Chapter Scholarship Fund)
Description: This presentation will highlight trials focused on the management of beech leaf disease caused by the foliar nematode Litylenchus crenatae mccannii. Data will be presented from laboratory and field experiments conducted from 2018-present. While much effort and collaborative work has been involved in all of these trials, many have yielded lackluster results; however, we have a glimmer of hope from one experiment installed and deployed in the summer of 2021. The data and a discussion on beech leaf disease will be presented in this special edition of Tree Talk Tuesday.

Bio: Dr. Loyd has been with Bartlett Tree Research Laboriatories in Charlotte, NC for over 6 years as a Plant Pathologist and Plant Disease and Insect Diagnostician.
