Tailgating with Trees “Winter Tree Identification”

Cost is a $20 donation to the Chapter’s Scholarship Fund

Lunch: 12:00-12:30pm

Class times: 12:30-3:30pm

Class Size Limited to 30

APPROVED CREDITS: ISA CA-3, ISA BCMA-Science-3, ISA Municipal Specialist-3; ISA Utility Specialist-3; TW Aerial Lift Specialist-3; TW Climber Specialist-3.  

Purpose: This educational program is for Green Industry Professionals interested in meeting and networking with other industry professionals while learning about how to identify trees commonly found in the Midwest landscape.  Bring your sack lunch and learn!

This will be a walking tour of parts of Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum to learn how to identify trees found in the Midwest.

Dress and site conditions. Dress for cold weather and uneven walking surfaces.

Plus, ISA Continuing Education Units, ONLA, and SAF CEU's. 

About Your Instructor(s):

Mark Webber is a Board-Certified Master Arborist, a Certified Municipal Arborist Specialist, a Certified Utility Arborist Specialist, and a Tree Risk Qualified arborist(TRAQ) and a Certified Professional Horticulturist with nearly forty years of relevant professional experience. He is a practicing arborist and horticulturist who provides investigations, reports, and testimony in matters related to tree condition, maintenance and removal; management of nursery, arboricultural, tree decay and landscaping operations; and an assortment of horticultural issues.

Rich Pearson is a degreed horticulturist and retired chief Horticulturist at both Chadwick and Cox Arboretums in Columbus and Dayton, Ohio, respectively. Rich is now the Program Assistant with the Clark County and the Snyder Park Gardens & Arboretum.
